Thanks to their dedication and down-to-earth mentality when searching solutions for their customers, IJsfabriek Strombeek has changed a lot for the better. But growing any further in terms of products and people in the digital era is simply impossible without shifting the IT environment to a higher gear. The family business started looking for a reliable partner to team up with on a permanent basis. And that’s where Tyneso comes in.
The challenges
For a long time, internal employees followed up on the IT business. But what if they retired? You’d have to consider the options: hiring a new IT employee or take a reliable partner on board? IJsfabriek Strombeek chose the latter option and had good reasons for doing so.
“IT is becoming increasingly important and is evolving rapidly”, starts Maarten Schuermans, Technical Director at IJsfabriek Strombeek. “If we want to stay up-to-date and have access to the most recent technology, we thought it would be wise to work with external specialists. I had known Steven Tytgat from Tyneso for some time and I knew that his company had built up a good reputation as an innovative and solid IT provider. After a few meetings, we decided to work together.”

Implementation
At the start of the collaboration, the main focus was on IT care. Individual employees were allowed to contact Tyneso for day-to-day IT problems. But over time, the projects became bigger. Tyneso modernised the entire IT infrastructure, from network and servers to the roll-out of new PCs and laptops. All this in view of facilitating the modern workplace and increasing productivity.
