In which domain do you want to specialise and does your potential employer have expertise in that field? Is there an expert who can show you the ropes?
If there are no senior staff in your area of expertise, ask about training budgets and certifications. Becoming a Gold-certified cloud specialist could be invaluable for your future career.
Make sure that your future employer is up to date with technology. Are they using the latest tools? Do they have modern equipment? Technology evolves rapidly and, in order to develop your skills, you need a modern, advanced environment.
Is your job varied and challenging enough? And is that what you’re looking for? The scope of tasks can vary significantly between a role in the IT department of an SME and, for example, a job at an MSP. Weigh up the pros and cons carefully.

For young high-potentials who want to learn from the best, a Managed Service Provider (MSP) is an ideal environment.
